The World Changes - Fuels Must Follow

The World Changes

A quick look at the cost of fuels as $/MMbtu tells us at a glance why we should be using natural gas as motor fuel. The following table is from the Wall Street Journal, Monday February 28, 2011.

http://online.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3023-cashprices.html

Gasoline              $2.71/gallon  = $22.25/MMBtu HHV  (5.87 x NG)
ULS Diesel*        $3.01/gallon =  $21.73/MMBtu HHV  (5.73 x NG)
Crude                    $97.90/bbl   =   $16.85/MMBtu HHV  (4.45 x NG)
Butane                 $1.85/gallon =  $17.92/MMBtu HHV  (4.73 x NG)
Propane               $1.55/gallon =  $16.95/MMBtu HHV  (4.47 x NG)
Natural Gas        $3.79/MMBtu HHV

BDL Fuels builds, owns  and operates small scale natural gas liquefiers which produce both Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for use as motor fuels. By nature of their small scale and modular design, these plants can be installed at an operators terminal to fuel a fleet.

Our Mission

Providing the energy marketplace with fuel alternatives through energy technology.

LNG as Transportation Fuel is Viable Now

bGas has been historically cheaper than diesel or gasoline

bCleaner by every measure

bSmaller carbon Footprint by 30+%

bTechnology in Delivery Chain has progressed to provide LNG at the customer's doorstep

bEngine development provides equivalent power with LNG

Economic Alternative Energy

Mini-Scale plants have not been economically viable because the economies of scale are lost. However, rapidly escalating energy costs have created a high value market for LNG as motor vehicle fuel. The large differential in cost between diesel fuel and LNG makes it economic to build and operate these smaller plants. BDL Fuels plants use a patented design which captures many advantages of large scale plants without the high capital cost. BDL Fuels packages their plants in 20 – 40 ft shipping containers which can be relocated if necessary.

Mini scale plants can be built at selected sites on existing natural gas pipelines. These have the advantage of being built near, if not on, a customer’s site to minimize transportation. They can also be integrated into an existing gas processing plant.

BDL Fuels

bAccessible and economical LNG/CNG is now available to the customer as transportation fuel.

bBDL Fuels provides LNG/CNG produced from pipeline gas in modular plants which are available to be located along trucking routes or at dedicated customer sites.

bBDL Fuels plants can also be integrated into natural gas processing plants. In this way the residue gas is produced as liquid. The NGL product is produced as usual.

bPlants are designed to produce from 5,000 GPD to 100,000 GPD of LNG
